Reconocimiento e hipótesis para la restitución arquitectónica del Teatro El Siglo de Carlet

Abstract

En Carlet, un municipio perteneciente a la Comunidad Valenciana, en la calle Doctor Bosch Marín nº 16, se encuentra el Teatro El Siglo, catalogado como un Bien con Protección Integral. Este edificio, que presenta claramente un esquema típico del teatro clásico italiano, fue construido a finales del siglo XIX por una sociedad de 26 vecinos de esta localidad, por lo que tiene un gran valor cultural, histórico y social para toda la población de Carlet. En la actualidad se encuentra en desuso y en un gran estado de deterioro, pero su rehabilitación es uno de los reclamos de la ciudadanía del municipio por su significado y su valor patrimonial. En este trabajo se recopila la documentación conservada, se elabora un inventario de los bienes muebles almacenados, se plantea la hipótesis del estado original del teatro, se realiza un análisis del estado actual y por último se propone un plan de mantenimiento y conservación.

The theatre El Siglo is located in the street Doctor Bosch Marín nº 16, in Carlet, a municipality that belongs to the Valencian Community, and is listed as an Asset with Integral Protection. This building, which has a typical scheme of the Italian classical theatre, was built at the end of the 19th century by a partnership of 26 residents of this town, so it has a huge cultural, historical and social value for the entire population of Carlet. Nowadays, the theatre is in disuse and abandoned, but restoration is a claim of the citizens of the municipality for its meaning and its patrimonial value. This work collects preserved documentation, shows an inventory of the movable property stored, raises the hypothesis of the original state, performs an analysis of the current state and finally proposes a mantenance and conservation plan.
