Prototipo de vivienda post-desastre natural, Valparaíso, Chile

Abstract

[ES] El proyecto se desarrolla en la ciudad de Valparaíso, Chile. Pretende indagar en uno de los problemas más importantes que presenta este país, las catástrofes naturales, así como aprender, conocer y continuar desarrollando sus técnicas para abordar estas complicadas situaciones de la forma más óptima. La integración en la sociedad y en el modo de vida chileno y porteño resultan imprescindibles a la hora de diseñar este prototipo. Surge la necesidad de crear un nuevo sistema constructivo, una nueva arquitectura, que pueda ofrecer una rápida, a la par que eficiente y económica, respuesta. A lo largo de la historia se han diseñado diferentes tipos de viviendas de emergencia para dar cobijo a las personas afectadas. Estas viviendas pueden ser viviendas de emergencia para una primera y rápida fase de actuación, es decir viviendas temporales, que se prevén serán ocupadas por los usuarios unos meses mientras se construye un nuevo alojamiento con condiciones dignas de habitabilidad. O viviendas de emergencia entendidas como primera fase de una vivienda definitiva, las cuales deben satisfacer las condiciones de confort y habitabilidad de los ocupantes, al mismo tiempo que deben permitir la flexibilidad, ampliación, adaptabilidad y autoconstrucción de la mano de los propios usuarios en función de las necesidades, condiciones climáticas y requerimientos de la zona de implantación. El prototipo trata de proporcionar este segundo alojamiento a todas aquellas personas que se encuentren en esta desafortunada situación, para generar un espacio donde vivir en comunidad y sin generar guetos marginales.

[EN] The project is developed in the city of Valparaíso, Chile. It aims to investigate one of the most important problems that this country presents, natural catastrophes, as well as learn, know and continue to develop their techniques to address these complicated situations in the most optimal way. The integration in the society and in the way of life of Chile and Valparaíso are essential when designing this prototype. The need arises to create a new constructive system, a new architecture, that can offer a fast, at the same time efficient and economic response. Throughout history, different types of emergency housing have been designed to give shelter to the affected people. These homes can be emergency housing for a first and rapid phase of action, that is temporary housing, which is expected to be occupied by users a few months while a new housing is built with conditions worthy of habitability. Or emergency homes understood as the first phase of a definitive home, which must meet the conditions of comfort and habitability of the occupants, while allowing flexibility, expansion, adaptability and self-construction of the hand of the users themselves, acording to the needs, climatic conditions and requirements of the implantation area. The prototype tries to provide this second accommodation to all those people who are in this unfortunate situation, to create a space where they can live in community and without generating marginal ghettos.
