Gemelle diverse. Las iglesias de la Santísima Trinidad de Delia y de San Nicolò Regale en Trápani, Sicilia

Abstract

[EN] The work develops the necessary phases before arriving at a restoration project. The main objectives are: the study and historical-architectural analysis, the knowledge of the current management and enhancement of the two churches, the proposal of strategies to show the value of the remains of the past and to educate the new generations and the development of a method. In addition to the data collection “in situ” relative to the current conditions of the elements, their state of conservation and the documentation of existing pathologies, an architectural survey has been carried out to perform the comparative analysis of both churches and the proposals of action. The two architectures are the result of the same historical period and the same cultural matrix, they have been projected for the same function and that have the same stylistic elements, although now they are very different, originally they were “twin”.

[ES] El trabajo desarrolla las fases necesarias previas a un proyecto de restauración. Sus principales objetivos son: el estudio y análisis histórico-arquitectónico, el conocimiento de la actual gestión y valorización de los edificios, la propuesta de estrategias para mostrar el valor de los restos del pasado y para educar a las nuevas generaciones y el desarrollo de un método. Complementariamente a la toma de datos “in situ” relativa a las condiciones actuales de los elementos, de su estado de conservación y a la documentación de las patologías existentes, se ha realizado un levantamiento arquitectónico, para realizar el análisis comparativo de ambas iglesias y las propuestas de actuación. Las dos arquitecturas son el resultado del mismo período histórico, de la misma matriz cultural, han sido proyectadas para la misma función y tienen los mismos elementos estilísticos, y aunque ahora son muy diferentes, originalmente eran “gemelas”.
