Implementation of an international Exchange Platform for Facility Management, resulting from a Cross Cultural analysis of thirty international location

Abstract

[EN] This thesis will explore the role of the Facility Manager inside a company like Continental, it will moreover develop a cross cultural analysis among the different locations, how different cultures influence the way communication is conducted in the work environment. An analysis of online communities inside this company will be developed as well as different methods on how to gain the attention of the reader using different tools other than the mere content. The company is undergoing major changes among its internal structure, it will be briefly analyzed its effect on the structure of the business concern self, it will be explained how the presence of a lean management culture allows the needed flexibility for successfully facing these changes. In the last chapter there will be the explanation on how the community has been developed as a result of all the previous mentioned criteria.
