dc.description.abstract [EN] This study contributes to empirical research in the identification of factors that influence the probability of being a firm with medium or high innovation performance pattern, relative to firms showing low values in the indicator of innovation performance. Past research has shown that certain types of innovation activities and investment in it can play a role in the commercial success of innovations. Yet, relatively few studies handled and examined such an extensive scope of heterogeneous variables like this thesis within the field on innovation performance measured in terms of innovation-turnover-ratio. Data and factors are extracted from the European Commission’s study Flash Eurobarometer 433, a questionnaire with over 14,000 participating companies on innovation trends conducted in 2016 and carried out in all 28 European Union nations, as well as in Switzerland and the United States. The research focus lays on statistical analysis exploring the relationship and importance of innovation types and investments on innovation activities for the innovation performance. es_ES
