APLICACIÓN PRÁCTICA DE LA FOTOGRAMETRÍA COMO FORMA DE REGISTRO Y DIFUSIÓN SOBRE LOS OBJETOS DE TELECOMUNICACIÓN

Abstract

El Museo de la Telecomunicación Vicente Miralles Segarra, ubicado dentro de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación de la Universitat Politècnica de València, alberga hoy uno de los repertorios más significativos de objetos de la historia de la telecomunicación, como lo reflejan sus colecciones de: imagen y sonido, instrumentación, radiocomunicaciones, telefonía y telegrafía, entre otras.

Es por eso que, la puesta en reconocimiento de estos elementos como parte de la evolución del ser humano a lo largo de las últimas décadas, ha llevado a replantearse diferentes estrategias para su conservación y sobre todo su difusión.

Esto nos obliga a la revisión de aquellos elementos pertenecientes a un pasado que aún es presente, pero adaptándolos a las nuevas formas de consumo cultural de hoy, que ayuden a la revalorización de estos referentes de la telecomunicación. Por ello, mediante el punto de vista de la prevención sobre la identidad propia de estos elementos, se ha planteado un método de actuación para este objetivo, basado en las nuevas tecnologías de la Información. Siendo este el punto de partida, y sobre el que versa este trabajo final de grado.

En esta investigación, queremos mostrar que, a través del uso de diferentes softwares libres, podemos ser capaces de realizar una documentación asequible a bajo coste. Llegando a la reconstrucción del objeto sobre un entorno virtual, mediante el uso de la fotogrametría digital como sistema de captura de información, sin descartar las posibles complicaciones que estos sistemas presenten y de ahí el diseño de un protocolo de trabajo.

Todo ello con la finalidad de ampliar los recursos necesarios para formar una difusión con mayor alcance sobre la sociedad, mediante la interacción visual del espectador dentro del espacio expositivo.

The Museo de la Telecomunicación Vicente Miralles Segarra, located within the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación of the Universitat Politècnica de València, today contains one of the most significant repertoires of objects in the history of telecommunications, as reflected in its collections of: image and sound, instrumentation, radio communications, telephony and telegraphy, among others.

This is why the recognition of these elements as part of the evolution of human beings over the last few decades has led to the reconsideration of different strategies for their conservation and, above all, their diffusion.

This obliges us to review those elements belonging to a past that is still present, but adapting them to the new forms of cultural consumption of today, which help the revaluation of these referents of telecommunications. For this reason, through the point of view of prevention on the identity of these elements, a method of action has been proposed for this objective, based on new information technologies. This being the starting point, and on which this final degree work deals.

In this research, we want to show that, through the use of different free software, we can be able to make affordable documentation at low cost. Reaching the reconstruction of the object on a virtual environment, through the use of digital photogrammetry as a system for capturing information, without ruling out the possible complications that these systems present and hence the design of a working protocol.

All this with the aim of expanding the resources needed to form a wider diffusion about society, through the visual interaction of the viewer within the exhibition space.
