dc.description.abstract [EN] Panama canal is also an extraordinary literary source. Between 1904 and 1914 numerous articles, papers and books were published to report the works and celebrate their completion. In 2014 some books were also edited to celebrate the centenary. On the occasion of the expansion works of the Panama Canal new books have been published. Many of them collect the history of its construction, different situations, descriptions and data of great interest. The paper presents information on the most interesting books, analyzing the contents of three of them es_ES
