PALIMPSESTO. Diálogo E Interacciones Del Proceso Pictórico

Abstract

EN Under the influence of external visual factors and urban nature, this project explores the contemporary interpretation of the concept of palimpsest, through the creation of a series of paintings of an abstract nature, in whose creative process improvisation and chance intervene.

The process includes a detailed experimentation and technical research within the acrylic media, explaining various techniques and procedures. As well as, the subsequent search for new pictorial supports that the practice itself generates, and aesthetically lead us to a contemporary sense of painting.

The tests and trials that are carried out configure a series of formally abstract paintings. That there are approaches such as the distribution of matter and color within the work of art itself, the idea of investigating within the pictorial space creating depth in abstract painting or visual representation and the physical limits of perception in the two-dimensional plane.

[ES] Bajo la influencia de factores visuales externos y de naturaleza urbana, este trabajo explora la interpretación contemporánea del concepto de palimpsesto, mediante la creación de unas pinturas de carácter abstracto, en cuyo proceso intervienen la improvisación y el azar.

El proceso recoge una detallada experimentación e investigación técnica dentro de los medios acrílicos, explicando varias técnicas y procedimientos. Así como, la búsqueda de nuevos soportes que la propia práctica genera, y que estéticamente nos conducen a un sentido contemporáneo de la pintura.

Las pruebas y ensayos realizados van configurando una serie de pinturas formalmente abstractas. Aquí aparecen planteamientos como la distribución de la materia y el color dentro de la propia obra de arte, la idea de indagar dentro del espacio pictórico creando profundidad en la pintura abstracta o la representación visual y los límites físicos de la percepción en el plano bidimensional.
