Adiciones y Sustracciones, entre la pintura y la materia

Abstract

[EN] This project called "Additions and Subtractions, between painting and matter", aims to capture and transfer to pictorial support all that has been learned during the course of these years in the Degree of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. It is conceived from an interest in the urban context and my relationship with its environment. The attention given in the resources that we can find in it lead me to analyse all the aspects that it involves; the stratification in the walls, the inhospitable spaces, graffity, taggs, dirt, marks, traces ... all this leads me, through painting, to do a series of works where I can narrate all these aspects, together with the experiences that the streets have contributed me throughout all this time. Presence and absence coexist in tune with the weight of the past and the weightlessness of the present. A present whose doings are rooted in overproduction and the speed of the rhythm of life and the advances of the most average, provoking total disinformation, causing at the same time a disinterest in what we see.

[ES] Este proyecto llamado ¿Adiciones y Sustracciones, entre la pintura y la materia¿, pretende plasmar y trasladar al soporte pictórico todo lo aprendido durante el transcurso de estos años en el Grado de bellas artes de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Se concibe a partir de un interés por el contexto urbano y mi relación con su entorno. La atención prestada en los recursos que podemos encontrarnos en él me conducen a analizar todos los aspectos que engloba; la estratificación en los muros, los espacios inhóspitos, graffitis, taggs, suciedad, marcas, huellas¿todo ello me lleva, mediante la pintura abstracta, a desarrollar una serie de obras donde poder narrar todos estos aspectos, junto con las vivencias que las calles me han aportado a lo largo de todo este tiempo. Presencia y ausencia conviven en sintonía con el peso del pasado y la ingravidez del presente. Un presente cuyos haceres se arraigan a la sobreproducción y a la velocidad del ritmo de vida y de los avances de los mass media, provocando una desinformación total, causando a su vez un desinterés por lo que vemos
