EL MURAL DE ARTE URBANO DE PICHAVO EN LA CIUDAD FALLERA DE VALENCIA ANALISIS DEL ESTADO DE CONSERVACIÓN Y PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN

Abstract

[EN] Street Art is considered as an evolution of the graffiti movement, known since Antiquity as a movement that initially had the objective of claiming the presence of a person in a certain place. Throughout history, this movement became more and more artistic, which needed means to facilitate its conservation and durability over time. This work of end of degree, arises by the interest of the conservation of this typology of art considered ephemeral by nature, and is centered in the study and in the proposal of intervention of a mural painting of urban art of the artists PichiAvo, that by means of a project with the City council of Valencia, they have wanted to revitalize the Fallas City creating a more attractive space. These two Valencian artists unite what is the origin of graffiti, without missing the use of its main tool, the spray, with figures from Greek mythology and classical sculpture, thus creating a mixture of what was once this artistic manifestation and what is now urban art. For the elaboration of this work a study of the state of conservation and the risks that can affect this work has been carried out; successively, the factors to control for the elaboration of a preventive conservation plan have been considered. Decisions were taken respecting the artists' opinions regarding the conservation and restoration of their work, and the opinions of the owners of the wall were also considered, collected through in-person interviews, until the conclusions were finally obtained.

[ES] El Street Art o arte urbano es considerado como una evolución del movimiento de los grafitis, conocido desde la Antigüedad como un movimiento que tenía inicialmente el objetivo de reivindicar la presencia de una persona en un determinado lugar. A lo largo de la historia este movimiento fue convirtiéndose en algo cada vez más artístico, que necesitaba medios para facilitar su conservación y perdurabilidad en el tiempo. Este trabajo de fin de grado, surge por el interés de la conservación de esta tipología de arte considerada efímera por naturaleza, y está centrado en el estudio y en la propuesta de intervención de una pintura mural de arte urbano de los artistas PichiAvo, que mediante un proyecto con el Ayuntamiento de Valencia, han querido revitalizar la Ciudad Fallera creando un espacio más atractivo. Estos dos artistas valencianos unen lo que es el origen de los grafiti, sin que falte el uso de su herramienta principal, el espray, con figuras de la mitología griega y de la escultura clásica, creando así una mezcla de lo que fue en su día esta manifestación artística y lo que es en la actualidad el arte urbano. Para la elaboración de este trabajo se ha procedido a realizar un estudio del estado de conservación y los riesgos que pueden afectar a esta obra; sucesivamente, se han considerado los factores a controlar para la elaboración de un plan de conservación preventiva. Se han tomado decisiones respetando las opiniones de los artistas con respecto a la conservación y restauración de su obra, y también se han considerado las opiniones de los propietarios del muro, recogidas mediante entrevistas en persona, hasta finalmente obtener las conclusiones.
