Estudio y catalogación de los búnkeres del Romeroso

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo pretende valorizar las construcciones defensivas todavía existentes del período de la Guerra Civil Española en la frontera que separa las provincias de Cuenca y Valencia a su paso por el Puerto de Contreras (Villagordo de Cabriel). El objetivo es dar a conocer este patrimonio a partir de su catalogación, estudio constructivo, estudio de lesiones, estado de conservación y propuesta de medidas que puedan hacer más interesante su visita y conocimiento. El estudio se centra en 4 construcciones que se corresponden con el tipo de arquitectura militar conocida como Búnker defensivo. El estudio revela, por un lado, las distintas fases constructivas alcanzadas y; por otro lado, su estado de conservación variable en función de la fase de ejecución.

Para adecuar estas estructuras defensivas en lugares visitables y de ampliación de conocimiento histórico, sería necesario realizar actuaciones que permitan su acceso seguro, así como dotar la zona de la información necesaria que sitúe al visitante en el contexto histórico en el que surgieron. Unido a la belleza paisajística podemos estar hablando de un espacio histórico-natural de gran interés y desconocido para la población en general.

El catálogo, como el documento básico e inicial de un proyecto de más largo alcance, permite establecer los criterios de intervención finalizados a su restauración.

[EN] The present work tries to valorize the defensive constructions still existing from the period of the Spanish Civil War in the border that separates the provinces of Cuenca and Valencia to its passage by the Port of Contreras (Villagordo de Cabriel). The objective is to make this heritage known through its cataloguing, constructive study, study of injuries, state of conservation and proposal of measures that can make your visit and knowledge more interesting. The study focuses on 4 constructions that correspond to the type of military architecture known as defensive bunker. The study reveals, on the one hand, the different construction phases reached and, on the other hand, their variable state of conservation depending on the execution phase.

In order to adapt these defensive structures to places that can be visited and to increase historical knowledge, it would be necessary to carry out actions that allow safe access to them, as well as to provide the area with the necessary information that situates the visitor in the historical context in which they arose. Together with the beauty of the landscape we can be talking about a historical-natural space of great interest and unknown to the general population.

The catalogue, as the basic and initial document of a more far-reaching project, makes it possible to establish the intervention criteria for its restoration.
