LILLE 2020: Prototipo de ciudad productiva

Abstract

[ES] Este proyecto arquitectónico parte de la iniciativa global FABCITY, un nuevo modelo urbano para ciudades autosuficientes, localmente productivas y globalmente conectadas entre sí. Nos situamos en un escenario hipotético: año 2020, la ciudad francesa de Lille se adscribe al programa FABCITY y desea desarrollar un prototipo a pequeña escala sobre cómo sería el funcionamiento de esta nueva ciudad del futuro, en una antigua zona industrial situada al noroeste de la ciudad. Un grupo de 13 estudiantes trabaja conjuntamente en los diferentes programas que deberían componer el proyecto, llevando de forma individual cada uno de ellos al detalle. Este apartado en concreto se centrará en la agricultura urbana, un proyecto donde se intentará integrar la producción agrícola con diversos programas de vivienda. A su vez, se pretende aprovechar las posibilidades que esta ofrece para convertirla en motor generador de vida y actividades en el área y modelar el paisaje urbano gracias a ella.

[EN] This architectural Project has its roots in the global initiative FABCITY, a new urban model for self-sufficient cities, locally producive and globally connected. We Will work over an hipothetical scenario: year 2020, the french city of Lille joins the FABCITY program and wish to develop an small prototype to understand how this new model for future cities will work. The chosen area is an old industrial site, situated northwest of Lille. A group of 13 students work together in developping the different programs that will integrate the Project, taking each of them to the detail in an individual way. This specific task will focuses in the urban agriculture, a project which aims to integrate housing and agricultural production. It also aims to take advantage of all the posibilities that agriculture offers, to create life in the area and activities around it, as use it to shape the urban landscape.
