Infància amb Natzaret

Abstract

[ES] La presente investigación parte del propósito de profundizar en la necesidad de incluir la perspectiva de la infancia en los procesos de diseño y gestión de los espacios. En primer lugar, se procede a un análisis histórico-documental sobre la invisibilización de la niñez en los planteamientos urbanos. El recorrido concluye en la Valencia actual, que como modelo de ciudad producto del urbanismo neoliberal hegemónico, sigue produciendo y perpetuando, de la mano del sistema educativo, esta histórica expulsión. La espontaneidad y la dependencia propia de esta etapa están alejadas de los intereses productivos del modelo capitalista; sus necesidades de socialización y cuidado pueden contribuir a reformar la dimensión colectiva de la ciudad, constituyendo así un motor de transformación social que limite las tendencias salvajes de un modelo urbanístico volcado a alimentar el sistema capitalista y patriarcal.

En segundo lugar, combinando análisis documental, observación participante y entrevista, se concreta el análisis en el caso práctico del barrio de Nazaret. Este barrio, en el marco de unos Poblados Marítimos que han constituido el residuo de una Valencia globalizada y espectacularizada, sigue preservando una identidad de pueblo y, por lo consiguiente, una mayor presencia de la infancia en la calle. Se trata, sin embargo, de una presencia atravesada por el deterioro de la calidad de vida, inducido por las tendencias de la ciudad capitalista. Surge, de dicha concreción, una última pregunta: ¿qué papel han tenido y tienen sus lazos sociales en la brecha con la Valencia globalizada y, sobre todo, qué modelo de ciudad reclaman?

Para darle forma a dicha investigación se procede a su aplicación directa en el caso del barrio de Nazaret a través de un análisis sociodemográfico, con técnicas cualitativas como apoyo a las técnicas exclusivamente cuantitativas, y planteando así un diagnóstico fundamental en cualquier estrategia urbana integral y rigurosa. Dicho proceso de participación ha sido aplicado en los cuatro centros de educación primaria del barrio y la asociación sin ánimo de lucro El Arca, como muestra representativa de la ciudadanía entre 6 y 12 años -el resto de perfiles sociales ya se han tenido en cuenta en otros procesos de participación realizados por el Ayuntamiento de Valencia-. Es por ello que para la elaboración del presente PFC se tiene también en cuenta el proceso de participación y las conclusiones de Estrategianatzaret , así como el proceso de participación realizado por Heterotopias Colectivas, donde se recogen las necesidades de la adolescencia de Nazaret.

Se propone un Proyecto Final de Carrera basado en tres ejes:

Proceso de participación desde la perspectiva de la infancia, con la finalidad de repensar el barrio de Natzaret poniendo en el centro del diseño y gestión de los espacios a sus habitantes más pequeñxs. Una ciudad o un barrio donde la infancia juega y vive, será un barrio sano y seguro para todas las personas.

Estrategia integral urbana, resultado de la interpretación técnica de la primera fase del proceso: dos talleres realizados en los cinco centros educativos del barrio. Se recogerá una propuesta urbanística de mejora del barrio.

Aproximación a una escala más cercana para ver un ejemplo constructivo, tras la aplicación de la segunda fase del proceso: dos talleres realizados en los cinco centros educativos.

[EN] The present investigation starts from the purpose of deepening the need to include the perspective of childhood in the design and management processes of spaces. First, we proceed to a historical-documentary analysis on the invisibilization of children in urban approaches. The tour concludes in the current Valencia, which as a model of city product of hegemonic neoliberal urbanism, continues to produce and perpetuate this historic expulsion from the hand of the educational system. The spontaneity and dependence of this stage are far from the productive interests of the capitalist model; and with this, their needs for socialization and care can contribute to reform the collective dimension of the city, thus constituting an engine of social transformation that limits the wild tendencies of an urban model aimed at feeding the capitalist and patriarchal system. Secondly, by combining documentary analysis, participant observation and interview, the analysis in the practical case of the Nazareth district is made concrete. This neighborhood, within the framework of some Maritime Villages that have constituted the residue of a globalized and spectacularized Valencia, continues to preserve an identity of people and, consequently, a greater presence of children in the street. It is, however, a presence crossed by the deterioration of the quality of life, induced by the speculative tendencies of the city. From this concretion, a final question arises: what role have the social ties of childhood played in the gap with globalized Valencia and, above all, what model of city do they claim? To give shape to this research, it is applied directly in the case of the neighborhood of Nazareth through a socio-demographic analysis, with qualitative techniques to support exclusively quantitative techniques, and thus posing a fundamental diagnosis in any comprehensive and rigorous urban strategy. . This participation process has been applied in the four primary education centers of the neighborhood and the non-profit association El Arca, as a representative sample of citizenship between 6 and 12 years -the rest of social profiles have already been taken into account in other participation processes carried out by the Valencia City Council. That is why the preparation of this PFC also takes into account the participation process and the conclusions of "Estrategianatzaret", as well as the participation process carried out by Collective Heterotopias, where the needs of Nazareth's adolescence are collected.

A Final Career Project is proposed based on three axes: 1. Participation process from the perspective of childhood, with the purpose of rethinking the Natzaret neighborhood, placing the smallest inhabitants at the center of design and space management. A city or a neighborhood where childhood plays and lives, will be a healthy and safe neighborhood for all people. 2. Comprehensive urban strategy, the result of the technical interpretation of the first phase of the process: two workshops held in the five educational centers of the neighborhood. An urban proposal to improve the neighborhood will be collected. 3. Approach to a closer scale to see a constructive example, after the application of the second phase of the process: two workshops held in the five educational centers.
