UNBOXING. Espacio intergeneracional y cultural

Abstract

[ES] Este proyecto surge ante la necesidad de conectar la Huerta Norte de la ciudad de Valencia con los antiguos barrios de Orriols, Torrefiel y Rascanya; basándose en las necesidades culturales y el modo de vida de su gente. Nace ante la idea de una caja, hermética y contenedora de vida, que explota para permitir su acceso donde se llevarán a cabo las actividades propias de un centro intergeneracional, en el que ancianos, niños y adultos confluyen en todos los espacios. La planta baja se organiza alrededor de un gran patio, donde conectan los recorridos que llegan desde la ciudad, la huerta o el antiguo monasterio de San Miguel de los Reyes. Desde el exterior la imagen del edificio es opaca, sin embargo, una vez en su interior se trata de una edificación ligera y diáfana.

[EN] This Project emerges before the need to connect the Orchard North of the city of Valencia with the old neighborhoods of Orriols, Torrefiel and Rascanya; base don the cultural needs and way of life of their people. It is born before the idea of a box, hermetic and container of life, that exploits to allow its access where they will carry out the activities proper of an intergenerational center, in which the elders, children and adults converge in all the spaces. The ground floor is organized around a large courtyard, where they connect the routes that arrive from the city, the orchard or the old monastery of San Miguel de los Reyes. From the outside the image of the building is opaque, however, once inside it is a light and diaphanous building.
