Intercambiador generacional: el borde como oportunidad e incertidumbre

Abstract

[ES] Este proyecto se trabaja en todo momento desde el punto de vista del proceso, entendiendo el resultado como una consecuencia natural pero no como un objetivo. El programa que se propone de un centro intergeneracional en el distrito de Rascaña se implanta como un elemento que dé continuidad y respuesta a un conjunto de realidades y problemas territoriales, sociales, históricas sin principio ni final, enganchándose al suceder del barrio como a un tren en marcha. El lugar aparece ahora desvinculado de su identidad histórica como huerta, desconectado tanto del paisaje urbano como del agrícola y vacío de contenido. Sin embargo, supone una oportunidad para retomar la conexión del territorio como algo interdependiente. La arquitectura se convierte en un elemento de cosido que se presenta como una sucesión de complejidades, donde el edificio se diluye con el entorno para pertenecer a sí mismo y a todo lo demás. Ofrecer espacios, tanto interiores como exteriores, donde el barrio pueda respirar. Su materialización a través de los muros de carga cerámicos busca conectar con la tradición valenciana y arraigar las formas en el terreno, ligeramente enterrado para que la topografía fluya alrededor y rompa el hermetismo del dentro-fuera.

[EN] This project has been worked in every moment through the process, understanding the result as a natural consequence but not as an objective itself.

The proposed program of an intergenerational center in the district of Rascaña is implemented as an element that gives continuity and response to a set of realities and problems - territorials, socials, historicals ... -, without beginning or ending, getting hooked to the neighborhood like a train in motion.

The place now appears disconnected from its historical identity as an orchard, disconnected from both the urban and agricultural landscape and empty of content. However, it is an opportunity to restart the territorial connection as something interdependent.

The architecture becomes a sewing element that appears as a succession of complexities, where the building is diluted with the environment to belong to itself and everything else. Offer spaces, both indoor and outdoor, where the neighborhood can breathe. Its materialization through the ceramic load-bearing walls seeks to connect with the valencian tradition and roots the forms in the ground, slightly buried so that the topography flows around and breaks the hermeticism of the inside-out.
