Infraestructura de acogida portuaria: conectando la ciudad y el mar

Abstract

[ES] La intervención se basa en recuperar el paisaje marítimo-portuario como parte fundamental de la ciudad de Valencia. A través de recorridos peatonales y verdes, el Muelle de Poniente se convierte en un nexo de unión entre la ciudad, els poblats marítims y la zona portuaria, generando un nuevo espacio público de convivencia entre los ciudadanos y los visitantes. El proyecto se sitúa en el muelle de Poniente, en la prolongación de la Alameda, en su encuentro con el mar. La propuesta queda enlazada con la ciudad, el puerto, el barrio de Nazaret y los astilleros, cuya reconversión en espacios de uso público quedan asociados a la recuperación paisajística y memoria histórica del lugar, desdibujando los límites actuales existentes entre la ciudad y la zona portuaria. La infraestructura se interpreta como un lugar de encuentro entre los pasajeros y los ciudadanos donde se dispone una nueva terminal marítima junto a un programa de carácter sociocultural que se vincula a unos espacios de relación entre los usuarios y de interés por la cultura valenciana.

[EN] The intervention is based on recovering the maritime-port landscape as a fundamental part of the city of Valencia. Through green and pedestrian paths, the Poniente dock becomes a link between the city, the maritime settlements and the port area, generating a new public space of coexistence between citizens and visitors.

The project is located in the Poniente dock, in the extension of the Alameda, in its encounter with the sea. The proposal is linked to the city, the port, the Nazareth district and the shipyards, whose reconversion into public areas are associated with the landscape recovery and historical memory of the place, blurring the current boundary between the city and the port area.

The infrastructure is interpreted as a meeting place for passengers and citizens where a new maritime terminal is located next to a socio-cultural program that is linked to spaces of relationship between users and interest by the Valencian culture.
