Infraestructuras de acogida portuaria: bajo cubiertas

Abstract

[ES] A nivel urbano, el proyecto se enfoca en la regeneración del puerto de Valencia. Convertir la dársena en un lugar multifuncional, otorgándole de nuevo el carácter histórico y liberándola de la masiva industrialización, conformando así un nuevo frente marítimo.

La infraestructura de acogida se sitúa en el muelle sur, completando el final de la promenade architecturale que comenzaría en el edificio Veles e Vents. Al igual que ocurre en los tinglados, se proponen grandes espacios protegidos de una excesiva exposición mediante cubiertas entrelazadas. BAJO estas CUBIERTAS se generan diferentes espacios de ocio, intercambio y contemplación. Se levantan diversos volúmenes, adosados al recorrido principal, que albergan el programa propuesto, organizado en: terminal marítima, escuela náutica, espacio socio- cultural y auditorio. Finalmente, en el extremo del muelle y como elemento simbólico, se alza una torre (mirador-faro) que traspasa las cubiertas rompiendo con la estética horizontal, siendo perceptible desde cualquier punto de la actuación y marcando el final del recorrido marítimo.

[EN] At the urban level, this project focuses in the regeneration of the Port of Valencia. The aim is to transform the dock into a multifunctional place, bringing its historical character back and getting rid of the massive industrialization, shaping in this way a new maritime front.

The reception infrastructure is placed in the south pier, completing the final of the promenade architecturale that would start with the Veles e vents building. As it occurs with the sheds, big spaces protected from an excessive exposure by interlaced roofs are proposed. UNDER these ROOFS different leisure, exchange and contemplation areas are generated. Diverse spaces joined to the main route are presented, which host the proposed agenda, organized into: maritime terminal, nautical school, sociocultural area and auditorium. Finally, a tower (lookout-lighthouse) raises in the endpoint of the pier as symbolic element. This tower goes beyond the roofs, breaking with the horizontal aesthetic. This characteristic makes it noticeable from any point and emphasizes the end of the maritime route.
