Constelación urbana Velluters-Carme: de Na Jordana al centro

Abstract

[ES] Como las conexiones que un día se establecieron gracias a los recorridos formados por las antiguas acequias de la ciudad de Valencia, esta propuesta plantea establecer un nuevo acceso al centro histórico en continuidad con la constelación Velluters-Carme. Así mismo, la manzana situada entre las calles Llíria, Salvador Giner y Huertos, sobre la que se emplaza dicha intervención, se abre a la ciudad para poner en valor la ruina del molino islámico que en ella se ubica; y, a su vez, crear un nuevo recorrido interior complementado con las nuevas relaciones que se establecen entre los vecinos y la actuación proyectada. Esta propuesta se basa en un programa híbrido en el que se pretende replantear el espacio dedicado a la Asociación Cultural Fallera Na Jordana adaptándose a sus necesidades programadas a lo largo del año; y, por otra parte, acentuar el uso artístico que caracteriza al lugar, estableciendo una serie de talleres dedicados a tal fin. Todo ello, sin olvidar el núcleo cultural formado por las diferentes entidades del barrio, el cual se refuerza con la creación de un programa complementario. Para albergar dichos usos, se proyecta un conjunto arquitectónico que se adapta al ámbito interior de la manzana, integrando elementos del paisaje urbano como son las tapias y medianeras. Al mismo tiempo, dicho conjunto queda relacionado por el nuevo recorrido que se establece entre el nivel de la calle, el espacio libre inferior de la ruina y el conjunto vecinal.

[EN] As the connections that one day were established thanks to the routes formed by the old irrigation canals of Valencia city, this project proposes to establish a new access to the historic center in continuity with the Velluters-Carme constellation. Likewise, the block situated between the streets Llíria, Salvador Giner and Huertos, where this intervention is located, opens to the city to highlight the ruins of the Islamic mill that is emplaced there; and, at the same time, create a new interior tour complemented by new relationships established between neighbors and projected plan. This proposal is based on a hybrid program in which it is intended to rethink the space dedicated to the Asociación Cultural Fallera Na Jordana adapting to its programmed needs throughout the year; and, on the other hand, accentuate the artistic use that characterizes the place, establishing different workshops dedicated to that end. All this, without forgetting the cultural nucleus formed by the different entities of the neighborhood, which is reinforced by the creation of a complementary program. To house these uses, an architectural ensemble is projected that adapts to the interior area of the block, integrating elements of the urban landscape such as border walls and party walls. At the same time, this set is related by the new route that is established between the level of the street, the lower free space of the ruin and the neighborhood set.
