Procés per a la recuperació d'un testimoni de la història: el Castell de Petrés

Abstract

[CA] El Castell de Petrés és una fortalesa del segle XV lligada històricament a l'origen de la Baronia de Petrés, que es va desenvolupar baix la seua protecció. Tot i que la construcció del castell és característica de l'Edat Mitjana, les diferents necessitats en els distints moments històrics han anat modificant la configuració original fins convertir-lo en una tipologia més residencial pròpia dels castells-palau. Aquesta construcció es va mantindre en bon estat de conservació fins el primer terç del segle XX, quan va ser parcialment derruïda i es va abandonar, condemnant-la a assolir el greu estat de conservació en el que es pot trobar hui en dia. Però tot i l'avançat estat de deteriorament que presenta, encara és possible trobar i estudiar elements constructius de gran interès que fan d'aquesta edificació un cas d'estudi mereixedor d'un anàlisi més desenvolupat. Des de 2016, i arran de l'encàrrec de l'Ajuntament de Petrés d'un estudi previ del Castell dels Aguiló, nom amb el que també es coneix el monument, s'han desenvolupat i executat una sèrie d'investigacions i actuacions sobre el mateix amb l'objectiu d'evitar el seu progressiu deteriorament i tornar a posar en valor un edifici amb gran rellevància en el progrés de la història local.

La participació en diferents parts d'aquest procés de recuperació d'un testimoni de la història com és el Castell de Petrés, queda reflectida en aquest treball amb dues finalitats: donar a conèixer el Bé i la conscienciació, de la població local en particular, que només coneix d'aquesta edificació el seu estat ruïnós, i de qualssevol altra persona interessada, del seu valor històric, testimonial i constructiu.

[EN] The Castle of Petrés is a 15th-century fortress with a history linked to the origin of the Barony of Petrés, which was developed under its protection. Although the construction of the castle is characteristic of the Middle Ages, the different needs at different historical times have modified the original configuration to make it a more residential typology typical of the castles-palaces. This construction remained in good condition until the first third of the twentieth century, when it was partially demolished and abandoned, condemning it to the grave state of conservation in which it can be found today. However, despite the advanced state of deterioration it presents, it is still possible to find and study constructive elements of great interest that make this building a case study deserving of a more developed analysis.

Since 2016, following the request of the Petrés Town Council of a previous study of the Castle of the Aguiló, a name which is also known as the monument, a series of investigations and actions have been carried out with the aim of preventing its progressive deterioration and re-valuing a building of great importance in the progress of local history.

The participation in different parts of this process of recovering a testimony of history such as the Castle of Petrés, is reflected in this work in order to raise the knowledge of it and the awareness of the local population in particular, who it only knows about the ruinous state of this building, and any other interested person, of its historical, testimonial and constructive value.
