Engineering internship in modelling fluid dynamics

Abstract

[ES] Memoria de prácticas realizadas en una pequeña empresa de consultoría CFD. En ella se relatan diversos estudios realizados para la misma.

[EN] This document presents the work as project manager that I have done during my end-of-studies internship. This internship involved technical skills needed for the completion of a CFD study for clients for FLUIDYN FRANCE as well as high skills in communication and management. Both aspects of this wok are detailed here.

One main study is presented in this document, involving the study of the structural integrity of a fire door subjected to an accidental fire. The set-up of the study (physical model, assumptions, geometry) is explained as well as the mesh, the setting-up of the numerical model and an analysis of the principal results.

In addition, as appendices, a study of the behaviour of an irrigation system and a guide for the studies of tank rupture accidents are included to this document.
