Resumen
The theoretical framework behind the mathematical analysis of clines in nature is reviewed. Then, a simplified version of these models implemented in Mathematica is presented. Finally, parentage analysis methods are tested on simulated data in order to define a minimum number of markers needed for molecular analysis of natural populations.
