dc.description.abstract [EN] The steel is one of the most important materials in our life. It is present in different quantities in almost all the products around the society. In addition, it is present in all the machines which produce our products. Nowadays, it could be impossible to live without steel. This fact has been developed to reach better performances in the steels. The progress is such a huge step that the objectives are to create more strong steels, more ductile steels and of course, safer steels. Since the assembly-line and mass production designed by Henry Ford until the creation of electrical cars designed by Elon Musk, the automotive sector has been a leader in the field of the research and development. Nowadays, the costumers demand safer, faster and ecological cars and the automotive sector is reacting to that wishes. The electrical car or the hybrid car are as common as the traditional combustion engine ones. Despite being so popular, more investigations are needed to reach more autonomy for electric cars. These investigations are flowing towards lighter materials, but they should be safer and eco-friendly. The AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steels) are the most logical solution to satisfy that new change towards an eco-friendly automotive sector. Along this investigation project some new AHSS are going to be tested in some stresses that a car chassis could be applied to. The main objective is to define a methodology to test these new materials to include in the new electrical cars in the future. They are known to be stronger and lighter than other conventional steels, so the benefits in the automotive sector could be so appreciated. Throughout the present investigation project, it is going to be explained all the manufacturing points from the AHSS: the chemical composition, the welding process, the post-welding heat treatment... The main objective is to create a methodology to test AHSS for the automotive sector and to study the behaviour of AHSS samples during the welding process which permits to assembly the cars. es_ES
