[ES] El Trabajo Final de Máster se desarrolla en la empresa de fabricación de componentes eléctricos Schneider Electric Meliana (España) y se basa en el análisis y rediseño del sistema de aprovisionamiento de material con uno de sus subcontratistas locales.
La necesidad de llevar a cabo este proyecto surge con el objetivo de mejorar el sistema actual, basado en un MRP (Material Requirement Planning). Esta situación ha desencadenado la necesidad de realizar una propuesta de rediseño del aprovisionamiento. El nuevo método estará basado en un sistema Kanban, ya utilizado en la actualidad en las líneas de producción de la fábrica. Con tal de proceder a su implantación, se realizan los cálculos para dimensionar el Kanban, las herramientas necesarias para llevarlo a cabo y los medios utilizados.
Finalmente, se presentan los resultados del proyecto y las conclusiones del mismo.

[EN] This Project is the result of the work-experience contract carried out during the first and
second year of the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. The work period comprises a
total of 12 months, from February 1, 2017 to January 31, 2018. The project that is exposed in
the document, has lasted approximately 6 months, from August of 2017 until the end of the
work-experience contract.
These practices have had a work rate of 6 hours per day. They have been developed in the
French company Schneider Electric in the plant located in Meliana (Valencia, Spain).
This work has been done in the Supply Chain department where the project described in this
document was assigned. The project is commissioned due to problems detected in the
previous work method based on an MRP (Material requirement planning). This system caused
a dysfunction in computer stocks and real stocks. This caused other problems, such as the lack
of materials in the subcontracting center or the increase in the cost of labor due to low
efficiency at work.
The main purpose is to establish a new material procurement system, based on the Kanban
method. Design a work methodology and create a series of documents that help in updating
calculations, material management and efficiency in the work mode.
