¡Mamá, quiero ser artista! 2.0.Centro residencial para jóvenes artistas de Castalla

Abstract

[ES] Castalla es conocida actualmente en su régimen territorial como un núcleo de producción industrializada el cual ya empezó a vislumbrarse en la década de los años 30 alcanzando su plenitud de crecimiento en 2009 con una extensión de más de un tercio del total de la superficie de la población.

Este constante desarrollo del municipio ha respetado en todo momento la fachada histórica de Castalla otorgando a los extremos de este elemento una singularidad y distinción que se articulan con el crecimiento de la población a lo largo de los años. Este hecho les cede un valor histórico, social y arquitectónico a dichas edificaciones que se sustentan con la conservación de los trazados originales de las calles que a día de hoy aguardan su puesta en valor a través de un recorrido lineal que culminaría en el antiguo solar de la casa del Doctor Sapena (hijo adoptivo de Castalla y de gran estima por los Castellenses).

Debido a este contexto y con anhelo de recuperar lectura histórica de Castalla se plantea la construcción en dicha parcela de un Centro para jóvenes artistas como respuesta a la Escuela de Arte y Diseño que se plantearía en el inicio del recorrido. Con una férrea voluntad por devolver el carácter residencial de la parcela y de enaltecer los antiguos restos históricos de la casa del Doctor Sapena el proyecto aspira a convertirse en un potente y dinámico espacio de congregación para todos la juventud de Castalla.

[EN] Castalla is currently known in its territorial regime as a nucleus of industrialized production which began to emerge in the 1930s, reaching its full growth in 2009 with an extension of more than a third of the total area of the population.

This constant development of the municipality has always respected the historical facade of Castalla, giving the ends of this element a singularity and distinction that are articulated with the growth of the population over the years. This fact gives them a historical , social and architectural value to these buildings that are supported by the conservation of the original layouts of the streets which today await their appreciation through a linear route that finishes in the former plot of Dr. Sapena's house (adoptive son of Castalla and highly esteemed by the "Castellenses").

Due to this context and with the desire to recover this historical reading of Castalla, the construction of a Student Residence and a Youth Centre on this plot is proposed as a response to the School of Art and Design that would be proposed at the beginning of this tour. With a steely determination to restore the residential character of the plot and to ennoble the ancient historical remains of Doctor Sapena's house, the project aims to become a dynamic powerful space of congregation for all youth of Castalla.
