¡Mamá, quiero ser artista! 1.0. Escuela de Arte y Diseño de Castalla

Abstract

[ES] El latente desplazamiento de la población del centro histórico de Castalla hacia otras zonas del pueblo ha provocado un abandono y deterioro en éste, que se ha traducido en una despoblación casi total. En este ejercicio se pretende revitalizar el casco histórico, que descansa en la ladera de la montaña donde se encuentra el potente Castillo, con una posición estratégica en el territorio. Para facilitar la comunicación entre el casco y el resto del pueblo e incrementar el flujo de gente en este, se configura en la rótula entre el centro y el ensanche un parque lineal con un recorrido que discurre en paralelo a las originales traseras de la Calle Mayor, fachada original. Este recorrido actúa como un peine, en el que se conectan distintos equipamientos, entre ellos la Escuela de Arte y Diseño de Castalla, en una esquina. Se pretende con este uso, apoyar el crecimiento industrial de Castalla y los pueblos vecinos y la formación de la gente en este ámbito. Además, apoyado con la implantación en el otro extremo del recorrido de un Centro Joven y una Residencia de estudiantes, lo que producirá la revitalización del casco histórico.

[EN] The latent displacement of the citizens of the historical Center of Castalla to other places of the town, has caused an abandonment and deterioration in said place, which has lead to a nearly total depopulation. In this exercise it is intended to revitalize the historical Center of the town, which sits on the slope of the mountain, where the powerful castle is located strategically on the territory. To facilitate the communication between the historical Center and the rest of the town and to increase the flow of people in said place, it is set, at the place where the historical center, and the expansion meet, a linear park which runs parallel to the original facades of the main street. This path performs as a brush which connects the different equipments, among which the art and design school of Castalla, in the corner. The intention behind this use, is to support the industrial growth of Castalla and the neighboring towns and the academic training of the people in this scope. Also supported by the implantation of a Youth Center and a student's residence at the other end of the path, which will eventually lead to the revitalization of the historical Center of the town.
