Abstract

[EN] The present essay is focused on the question of what is and should be considered research in architecture, and more specifically in architectural design. The aim is to clearly identify the graphic processes inherent to the practice of architecture, particularly to research activities linked with higher education, and to prove that the nature of such activities remains constitutive of the character of scientific inquiry

[ES] El presente artículo plantea la reflexión sobre qué es y qué debe ser investigación en arquitectura, y mas específicamente en el "proyectar" arquitectónico, identificando de manera clara los procesos y desarrollos gráficos que realizan los arquitectos en el ejercicio de la profesión, y fundamental y específicamente los desarrollados al amparo de la investigación en la docencia, como verdaderas acciones que están dotadas de características que las convierten en verdaderas investigaciones científicas.
