Abstract

[ES] En la actualidad existen dos modelos culturales que se desarrollan por separado: el denominado Neobarroco por Omar Calabrese y el modelo cultural capitalista. Desarrollaremos cómo se desenvuelven ambos tipos de modelos culturales en torno a dos temas que consideramos centrales y de gran relevancia en la actualidad: la muerte y el amor. Encontraremos que, sobre todo, la muerte es un tema que está en peligro en la sociedad actual. Por ese motivo, considero de esencial importancia tratar este tema para deshacer cualquier forma de tabú e intentar remendar las patologías sociales que puede provocar una mala asimilación de la muerte. En un contexto capitalista que prioriza el binomio rentabilidad-beneficio y que reprime cualquier duda existencial del ser humano, es necesario el presente trabajo, cuya práctica artística se encarga de representar el tema de la muerte desde varios puntos de vista para así contribuir a que la muerte deje de ser un estigma. En este trabajo, tras analizar las características de los dos modelos culturales que conviven en la actualidad (Neobarroco y capitalismo), he decidido hacer un trabajo práctico escultórico que tenga una inspiración barroca. Para así abordar frontalmente y desde diversos puntos de vista un tema que está siendo ampliamente reprimido en la sociedad actual: la muerte.

[EN] Currently there are two cultural models that are developed separately: the one called Neo-Baroque by Omar Calabrese and the capitalist cultural model. We will develop how both types of cultural models unfold around two themes that I have considered central and of great relevance today: death and love. We will find that, above all, death is an issue that is in danger in today¿s society. For this reason, I consider it essential to deal with this subject in order to undo any form of taboo, and try to mend the social pathologies that can be caused by the poor assimilation of death. In a capitalist context that prioritizes the profit-benefit binomial and that represses any existential doubt of the human being, this work is necessary, whose artistic practice is in charge of representing the subject of death from various points of view in order to contribute to the death is no longer a stigma. In this work, after analyzing the characteristics of the two cultural models that currently coexist (Neo-Baroque and capitalism) I have decided to do a practical sculptural work that has a Baroque inspiration. In order to tackle frontally and from various points of view a subject that is being widely repressed in today¿s society: death.
