PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN DE UN MANTÓN MONOCROMO DE PRINCIPIOS DEL SIGLO XX

Abstract

[EN] The present final degree project develops the technical study and interventionproposal of a monochrome silk shawl from the beginning of the 20th century. Textiles are very fragile, it can be said that they are the most delicate ofhistorical objects, they are frequently attacked by a multitude of factors:climatic such as humidity, biological such as fungi and insects, and man-made. The information that a fabric can give us is as valuable as that of a work of artsince through its study we can know its function, the social class of the personwho used it, its place of origin, the time in which it was made. , the culture of asociety, the economy, and the commerce of the country of origin. Restoration and conservation are essential for the protection of the textile heritage.

[ES] El presente trabajo fin de Grado desarrolla el estudio técnico y propuesta deintervención de un mantón de seda monocromo de principio de siglo XX. Los textiles son muy frágiles, se puede decir que son los más delicados de losobjetos históricos, frecuentemente son atacados por multitud de factores:climáticos como la humedad, biológicos como los hongos e insectos, y por elhombre. La información que nos puede dar una tejido es tan valiosa como la de unaobra de arte ya que mediante su estudio podemos saber su función, la clasesocial de la persona que lo usaba, su lugar de origen, la época en la que fueconfeccionado, la cultura de una sociedad, la economía, y el comercio del paísde origen. La restauración y la conservación son fundamentales para la protección delpatrimonio textil.
