GOOD HYBRID SHAPE. LA FÁBULA GRÁFICA DEL EGO HUMANO

Abstract

[ES] El principal contenido de este proyecto de fin de grado hace referencia a la cultura del híbrido como descripción alternativa de lo humano, y la interacción del mundo de las redes sociales, siendo su núcleo principal los cuerpos humanos, y su ámbito de origen angloparlante, de ahí el título «Good Hybrid Shape»

Para materializar esto se ha realizado una serie de obras ilustrativas mediante xilografía a color, siendo la gama cromática una representación del ¿yo¿ de la persona o sujeto elegido para la hibridación. En cada estampa se emplean cuatro planchas de un formato grande (91 x 52 cm ), una para cada uno de los colores.

Estas proporciones proceden de una media entre la altura y anchura del autor de este proyecto y las medidas de su dispositivo móvil. Para su materialización se recurrió a cuatro gamas sintéticas y la aplicación de un recurso de degradación tonal que permitió generar una ilusión de profundidad. Para la obtención de todos los recursos y datos necesarios en este proyecto se hizo un test a cada participante, basado en los tipos de personalidades descritos por Katharine Cook Briggs, respondiendo a las teorías que Carl Gustav Jung propusiera en su trabajo Tipos psicológicos.

Los principales referentes de este conjunto de obras se sitúan en el ámbito de la cultura pop, el cine o la literatura (mitología o relato de terror); siendo obras de carácter figurativo que tratan de sintetizar el dibujo y la mancha, aplicando la economía de recursos plásticos propia de la xilografía. El objetivo de la memoria es el de contextualizar la obra presentada, analizando el proceso de trabajo realizado, tras haber aportado una breve enumeración y descripción de las principales claves, aspectos, conceptos, recursos o temas de la misma.

[EN] The main content of this final degree project refers to the culture of the hybrid as an alternative description of the human, and the interaction of the world of social networks, its main nucleus being human bodies, and its sphere of English-speaking origin, from there the title ¿Good Hybrid Shape¿

To materialize this, a series of illustrative works have been carried out using color woodcuts, the chromatic range is a representation of the ¿I¿ of the person or subject was chosen for hybridization. Four plates of a large format (91 x 52 cm) are used in each print, one for each of the colors.

These proportions come from an average between the height and width of the author of this project and the measurements of his mobile device. For its materialization, four synthetic ranges were used and the application of a tonal degradation resource that allowed generating an illusion of depth. To obtain all the necessary resources and data in this project, a test was carried out on each participant, based on the types of personalities described by Katharine Cook Briggs, responding to the theories that Carl Gustav Jung proposed in his work Psychological Types.

The main references of this set of works are located in the field of pop culture, cinema, or literature (mythology or horror story); being figurative works that try to synthesize drawing and stain, applying the economy of plastic resources typical of woodcut. The objective of the report is to contextualize the work presented, analyzing the work process carried out, after having provided a brief enumeration and description of its main keys, aspects, concepts, resources, or themes.
