El papel pintado amarillo. Dolor psicológicola realidad envuelta en locura-animación 2D

Abstract

[ES] Este proyecto llevará a cabo la preproducción de un cortometraje de animación 2D, basado en el relato El papel pintado amarillo, escrita por Charlotte Perkins Gilman, donde Charlotte consigue romper aquello que la atrapa tras averiguar el entresijo de su propia mente. Charlotte, una mujer encerrada en una casa de verano alquilada, concretamente en su dormitorio con un empapelado amarillo característico, pasa el tiempo sin poder hacer nada que conlleve trabajar su parte intelectual como forma de tratamiento psiquiátrico, vigilado por su marido John y Jennie, la hermana de éste. Trataremos los delirios que comienza a tener y su obsesión de ver a una mujer que vaga por el papel amarillo durante las noches, su visión de la realidad, mezclando lo imaginario con lo real, llegando a ser este delirio un incentivo para tratar su inactividad intelectual, y finalmente rompiendo el papel amarillo y liberando a la mujer, como símil de su propia liberación sobre la opresión sufrida.

Se inicia a partir de la reflexión del término locura, cómo ha ido evolucionando a lo largo de la historia, dando lugar al concepto de manicomio y, finalmente, a un estudio sobre el dolor psicológico que experimentan los pacientes (concretamente las mujeres) desde el siglo XIX.

La historia en el campo de la psiquiatría ha sido un camino lleno de turbulencias hasta hace bien poco. Un gran número de experimentos se han llevado a cabo en los pacientes desde el siglo XV, siendo prácticamente torturas sin apenas buenos resultados. La búsqueda de estos referentes y documentación ha sido fruto de estos últimos dos años, mediante la lectura de artículos, casos concretos, y expresión pictórica a la hora de exponer nuestros pensamientos.
