dc.description.abstract [EN] The thesis consists of a comparison between software and scanners so as to know which the best option is to get the most accurate 3D model of a grave of the Maulbronn Monastery, which will be useful for heritage preservation. For this purpose five different ways will be performed in order to get the best results. The data have been taken using two different close-range scanners: “Konica Minolta Vivid 910” and “Artec Spider”. The data have been collected in the Cistercian Monastery of Maulbronn founded in 1147, located in Baden-Württemberg (Germany), and declared World Heritage Site by the Unesco in 1993. Also, several processing techniques will be analysed and compared to find out which the best is to get the maximum resolution. Moreover, two different software (“Artec Studio Professional 11” and “Geomagic Studio 2012”) which work with different algorithms, will be used to process the data collected in the monastery. Thus, after these different scanners, software, and processing techniques will be combined and the results will be obtained, there will be a complete and deep analysis about the work done and if it has been reached the desired result, how could improve if not, and put light in the way to continue developing techniques that can be useful in heritage preservation. This thesis is only one part of the tri-national project carried out by 3 universities (Hochschule KarlsruheTechnick und Wirtschaft, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and Polytechnic University of Valencia) financed by the Baden-Württemberg Stipendium in which professors and students have been involved in order to generate 3D models and document cultural heritage sites through geomatics techniques. es_ES
