Design and development of a furniture kit for camper vans that can be transformed into a bed

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo del presente proyecto es abordar el diseño, desarrollo y posibles métodos de fabricación de un mueble kit de descanso para furgonetas camperizadas. Este mueble consistirá principalmente en un baúl/sofá transformable a cama para optimizar el espacio según la situación requerida por el usuario. Al ser un mueble kit anclado exclusivamente a las argollas de sujeción, no va a precisar de ninguna modificación especifica en la furgoneta. Dada esta característica, y el que se va a establecer como requisito de diseño el no superar la altura de los asientos traseros, este kit propuesto entrará en la consideración de carga de transporte y no de equipamiento camper, siendo que estos últimos necesitan incluirse en la ficha técnica del vehículo. Por otra parte, en la ejecución de este proyecto se va a efectuar un análisis de productos similares que puedan existir en el mercado, determinando entre otras cosas las carencias que puedan presentar estos productos como punto de partida para plantear posibles mejoras a aplicar. También se llevarán a cabo diversos análisis y estudios, desde un punto de vista multidisciplinar, tales como: estudio y estado del arte; estudio de la normativa aplicable; relación del producto con el usuario; análisis de los procesos de fabricación; selección de materiales; estudio económico; etc. Se pretenden presentar distintas propuestas de diseño que serán validadas teniendo en consideración todos estos análisis y estudios planteados.

[EN] The objective of this project is to address the design, development, and possible manufacturing methods of a rest kit furniture for camper vans. This piece of furniture mainly consists of a trunk / sofa that can be transformed into a bed to optimize space according to the situation required by the user. As it is a furniture kit anchored exclusively to the fixing eyes, it will not require any specific modification to the van. Given this characteristic, and the one that will be established as a design requirement not to exceed the height of the rear seats, this proposed kit will enter the specification of transport load and not of camper equipment, being that the latter require inclusion in the vehicle technical sheet. On the other hand, in the execution of this project, an analysis of similar products that may exist in the market will be carried out, determining among other things the care that these products may present as a starting point to consider possible improvements to apply. Various analyzes and studies are also carried out, from a multidisciplinary point of view, stories such as: study and state of the art; study of the applicable regulations; relationship of the product with the user; analysis of manufacturing processes; materials selection; economic study; etc. Different design proposals will be presented that will be validated considering all these analyzes and proposed studies.
