Del pattern textil a la pintura mural. Creación de un arte comprometido con la era ecológica.

Abstract

[ES] En este proyecto hemos realizado una investigación para trasladar los recursos gráficos y expresivos del estampado o pattern textil a la pintura mural, con un objetivo tanto ecológico como ecologista.

Hemos desarrollado un ejercicio teórico-práctico que transita por varios ámbitos complementarios: el primero está vinculado con el diseño del rapport y el pattern, el segundo profundiza en la aplicación del estampado en el muralismo con una clara intención concienciadora y el último nos introduce en la necesidad, cada vez más urgente, de un compromiso del artista con la naturaleza.

Desde el punto de vista teórico hemos realizado una búsqueda de información profundizando en los distintos elementos que conforman el presente trabajo: el estampado textil, el arte mural y la ecología, sentando así, las bases para la realización de la parte práctica.

Como colofón del proyecto, todas las cuestiones investigadas y aprendidas quedan plasmadas en una obra mural que cumple con los objetivos planteados, como la transmisión de valores medioambientales, culturales y artísticos a transeúntes y ahondar en la urgente creación de un arte comprometido con la era ecológica en la que vivimos, usando para ello como protagonista la flora local.

[EN] In this project we did some research to transfer the graphic and expressive resources of the textile pattern to the mural painting. With two aims, firstly, to use a type of paint that is environmentally friendly and secondly, to make a mural painting that aims to raise awareness about our environment.

We worked on and developed a task/an exercise joining theory and practice, both are equally intertwined. That task revolves around several aspects: the first one is intrinsically related to the design of the rapport and the pattern. The second one focuses and deepens in the practical use of the mural painting with the nice and clear purpose of raising awareness. And last is the artist¿s need to be responsible for our nature, which is becoming increasingly urgent these days.

From the theoretical point of view, we searched for information deepening in the distinct elements that make up the present work: the textile pattern, the mural art and the ecology, this way laying the foundations for the realisation of the practical part.

As a key outcome of the project, all the questions researched and learnt remain reflected in a mural work that fulfils with the aims posed, like the transmission of environmental, cultural and artistic values to bystanders. And it deepens in the urgent creation of a committed art with the ecological era in which we live, using for this the local flora as main character.
