Abstract

[ES] En este trabajo voy a centrarme en producir y analizar mi obra, para entender mejor mis motivaciones, mis metas personales y profesionales, y mis fallos. Empezaré por la búsqueda y posterior selección de mis referentes, tanto a nivel teórico como conceptual y técnico. A continuación, elegiré algunos de mis proyectos anteriores que considero especialmente relevantes para estudiar qué es lo que me han aportado o pueden aportar en el futuro, qué tienen de interesante y por qué. A partir de esta información, procederé a intentar definir cuáles son mis objetivos como artista, valiéndome de algunos de los textos que me ayudarán a contextualizar mi obra, como Teoría de la Retaguardia de Iván de la Nuez o Después del fin del arte de Arthur Danto.

Escribiré sobre la búsqueda y conformación de la identidad, la memoria familiar, la influencia de la fotografía en mi pintura, mis metas y los problemas que veo en el futuro, haciendo hincapié en el arte posthistórico, que De La Nuez define como arte de supervivencia, y su importancia en la conformación de mis valores. Para concluir, expondré mi proyecto, que consiste en una serie de cuadros que emergen de inquietudes como la construcción de mi identidad, mi familia y lo cotidiano, en el cuál he estado trabajando este último año y que aún no considero finalizado.

[EN] For this project I am going to produce and then analize my pictorial work, to better understand my motivations, my personal and professional goals, and also my flaws. I will start by searching for and then making a selection of figures that inspire me, both in theory and concept, or by their technical skills. Afterwards, I will single out some of my late work that I consider specially relevant, to study and determine what they have meant for my work then and what they can give me in the future, and why do I find them interesting. With that information, I will proceed to try to define what are my goals as an artist, with the help of some of the texts that have been useful to contextualize my work, mainly Teoría de la Retaguardia by Iván de la Nuez or After the End of art by Arthur Danto.

I will write about the search and making of my identity, family memory, the influence of photography in my paintings, my goals and the trouble I see in the future, emphasizing art beyond history, what De La Nuez defines as art for survival, and the role this plays in the shaping of my values. To conclude, I will expose my project, consisting in a series of paintings that emerge from various concerns such as the finding of my identity, my family and the ordinary, which I have been working on for the past year and I don¿t yet consider to be finished.
