i predominaven les espècies Dugastella valentina i Melanopsis tricarinata. Era en ambdós
aiguamolls on es trobava una menor abundància i riquesa, i on també es trobaven espècies
exòtiques com Micropterus salmoides.

[EN] Wetlands are one of the most ecologically important ecosystems, mainly due to their
productivity, housing a great diversity of species of flora and fauna and the interaction between
terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. These include a large number of habitats, such as
marshes.
La Marjal de Pego-Oliva is the marsh with more biological, cultural and socioeconomic value
of the Valencian Community. Within this, lentic river systems can be differentiated from others
that are more logical. La Marjal has a great richness and abundance of macrofauna
characteristic of the different habitats.
That is why in this work, a study of the macrofauna has been carried out in four different points
of the marsh: one at the head of the river Bullent, another at the head of the river Racons and
two others corresponding to two wetlands, in order to have systems with different water flow.
The headwaters of the Bullent river were where there was a greater abundance and richness
of species, and the species Dugastella valentina and Melanopsis tricarinata predominated. It
was in both wetlands where there was less abundance and richness, and where exotic species
such as Micropterus salmoides were also found.
