Sobre ruedas. Escuela de pilotos en Cheste

Abstract

[ES] Situado en el Noreste de la universidad laboral de Cheste, a unos 30 kilómetros de la capital valenciana, se propone un nuevo edificio al servicio del mundo del motor. Un ambiente de aprendizaje relajado e inmerso en la naturaleza dinámica de un campus multifuncional. El emplazamiento de las nuevas instalaciones para la formación completa de futuros pilotos se encuentra en un ambiente privilegiado; por un lado la arquitectura con gran personalidad de Moreno Barberá y por otro lado las visuales al circuito Ricardo Tormo, donde previsiblemente desarrollarán el futuro profesional los estudiantes. El nuevo edificio se concibe como un claustro quebrado que interactúa con las curvas de nivel que presenta el terreno natural. Sobre la base de un esquema geométrico simple y claramente estructurado, se pretende resolver los desafíos de la topografía existente y lograr una integración equilibrada con el paisaje del entorno. El diseño del proyecto persigue una estrategia dialéctica donde se distinguen claramente las zonas comunes y las deportivas, organizadas en un único edificio; de la zona residencial que queda resguardado al abrigo del terreno en un gran volumen lineal. Esta estrategia es una clave fundamental en la definición de su expresión formal. La interacción entre el paisaje y el edificio sigue esta estrategia con una relación directa y transparente entre las áreas sociales, con grandes superficies acristaladas, a diferencia de un carácter más reservado que caracteriza el área de aulas y talleres. El proyecto trata de conseguir un edificio equilibrado, combinando soluciones de diseño pasivo, como el uso de iluminación y ventilación natural y materiales integrados en el entorno.

[EN] Located in the Northeast of the ¿Universidad laboral de Cheste¿, some 30 kilometers form the capital of Valencia, a new building is proposed to serve the world of motoring. A relaxed learning environment immersed in the dynamic nature of a multi-functional campus. The location of the new facilities for the complete training of future pilots in in a privilegied environment; on the one hand the architecture with great personality of Moreno Barberá and on the other hand the visuals to the Ricardo Tormo circuit where the students are expected to develop their future career. The new building is conceived as a broken cloister that interacts with the contours of the natural terrain. On the basis of a simple and clearly structured geometrical scheme, the aim is to solve the changes of the existing topography and to achieve a balanced integration with the surrounding landscape. The design of the project pursues a dialectic strategy where the common areas and the sports areas, oorganized in a single building, are clearly distinguished from the residential area that is sheltered from the land in a large linear volume. This strategy is a fundamental key in the definition of its formal expression. The interaction between the landscape and the building follows this strategy with a direct and transparent relationship between the social areas, with large glass surfaces, as opposed to the more reserved character that characterizes the area of classrooms and workshops. The project seeks to achieve a balanced building, combining passive design solutions such as the use of natural lighting and ventilation and materials integrated into the environment.
