[EN] The manufacturers of air conditioning equipment are concerned about the impact that the
new CTE2018‐HE will have on the future market of the sector and they intend to discover how to orient
their offer and production in the short/medium term.
The question they want to answer is: Which systems can be accepted en each climate zone?
This essay would be a sub‐project within a consultancy project.
The case study that we are dealing with is focused on an isolated luxury single‐family house of 250
useful m2.
Firstly, the Basic Document on Energy Saving will be analyzed in its different sections, emphasis on
sections HE0 (regulation of primary energy consumption, total and non‐renewable), HE1 (thermal
requirements of the building envelope and its solar gain) and HE4 (minimum solar coverage of
renewable energy for the production of DHW).
Subsequently and after selecting 4 locations where the different simulations of the selected systems
will be carried out, the materialsthat will compose the thermal envelope of the building will be defined
according to each climate zones in order to comply with HE1. Once selected, the energy demand of
the building will be analyzed.
Three different systems will be selected for the production of DHW and air conditioning. It will be
verified if these systems are accepted by the CTE2018 with the regulations in force in each of the
locations or wether, on the contrary, they cannot be installed in different regions.
Finally, there will be a brief discussion of the changing national panorama motivated by the new
changes introduced in the CTE DB HE and the reality of the systems.
