| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] The present work focuses on the analysis, simulation, and improvement of the energy performance of an existing mechanical ventilation plant in a TU Wien building. This project is done due to the need to implement energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption in buildings. Reformed in 2014 as ¿Efficient Building¿, the measurement data over more than three years detected a significant difference between the planning and the demand for electrical energy of the ventilation system, which represents a considerable part of the entire building electricity demand. The reason for the deviation is unknown and the construction company failed, so it is not possible to obtain useful data either from the plant or its components. Regarding the procedure, first and with the aim of understanding the causes of this problem, an analysis of the demand and the HVAC system is carried out based on the study of each of the elements and the different types of action, as are the VAC and VCV ventilation systems. The dynamic behaviour of the plant is modeled through the Matlab simulation program and the data obtained is compared with the real data in search of solutions to the described problem. Finally, the possible actions to reduce the current demand for electricity (without compromising the quality of the service) are evaluated and, therefore, the economic savings are taken into account. | es_ES |
