| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] The present Final Degree Project has the final objective of improving the productivity of the Warehouse and Expeditions section and therefore, reducing the costs incurred in said section. The main problem that exists is poor management by senior managers and Warehouse and Expedition workers. This is because there are no defined or standardized tasks and therefore there are no indicators that mark and evaluate daily work. Apart from this problem, communication between the higher-level managers of the section with the workers and between the workers themselves is non-existent, so it is difficult to detect the problems that have occurred and to be able to solve them as soon as possible. To eliminate these problems, and therefore improve the management of the section and be able to achieve the objectives set, it is proposed to implement the Lean Manufacturing philosophy. This is carried out through the study of the human organization that makes up the Warehouse and Expeditions staff, the working methods, procedures, activities carried out and the flow of materials and information involved in the current process. To find the necessary improvement tools, first the needs of the section are identified based on the incidents detected, then the incidents are prioritized and thus the critical points necessary to solve are established. Thus, based on these critical points, the continuous improvement tools are proposed: PDCA, GAP Panel, Continuous Improvement Meetings and the 5S. Once the objective of each of them has been raised, they are implemented, detailing their operation and the steps followed for their correct implementation. Finally, the evolution of the improvement indicators is measured, and the achievement of the objectives set in the project is evaluated. | es_ES |
