Francisco Íñiguez Almech. Drawings by a historian of Architecture

Abstract

[EN] Francisco Íñiguez is well known for the work he did from 1933 onwards as an architect preserving the architectural heritage of Spain. In particular, he is celebrated for having been the main mover and principal worker in the recovery and full restoration of the Palacio de la Aljafería in Saragossa. However, he is also prominent by reason of his architectural drawings, with which he illustrated in his articles and books the buildings that he was studying.

[ES] Francisco Íñiguez es conocido por el trabajo realizado desde 1933 como arquitecto conservador del Patrimonio Arquitectónico de nuestro país y, muy especialmente, por haber sido el impulsor y artífice de la recuperación y restauración integral del Palacio de la Aljafería de Zaragoza. Pero también por sus dibujos de arquitectura, con los que solía ilustrar, en sus libros y artículos, los edificios objeto de su estudio.
