Lo sublime en la oscuridad. Proyecto pictórico sobre la espiritualidad

Abstract

[ES] En este proyecto exploraremos el concepto de ¿lo sublime¿, su significado y su relación con la pintura en el mundo artístico, así como de forma personal en un trabajo pictórico. Desarrollaremos un listado con algunas de las características que puede contener este amplio concepto y lo que lo provoca como la infinidad, las luz y la oscuridad, los colores... e intentaremos indagar en cada una de ellas explicándolas brevemente y demostrando su cumplimiento mediante dichas obras pictóricas.

Para la teoría nos apoyaremos en figuras importantes del ámbito filosófico, especialmente los que hayan abordado la estética del arte, así como escritores de psicología e incluso de literatura que reforzarán la idea a presentar en nuestro proyecto.

En el apartado práctico hemos realizado una serie pictórica tomando referencia de varios pintores de renombre inspirándonos en su técnica y motivos así como de fotografías que comparten ese ¿aura¿ que contiene lo sublime. Mediante esta serie de pinturas se pretenderá constatar y comprobar la funcionalidad de las características de este término reafirmándolo. Tras la lectura de estos textos obtendremos un final abierto al juicio del lector para que este pueda alcanzar sus conclusiones.

[EN] In this project we will explore the concept of ¿the sublime¿, its meaning and its relationship with painting in the artistic world, as well as personally in a pictorial work. We will develop a list with some of the characteristics that this broad concept may contain and what causes it, such as infinity, light and darkness, colors ... and we will try to investigate each one of them briefly explaining them and demonstrating their fulfillment by means of said pictorial works.

For the theory, we will rely on important figures in the philosophical field, especially those who have addressed the aesthetics of art, as well as psychology and even literature writers who will reinforce the idea to be presented in our project.

In the practical section we have made a pictorial series taking reference from several renowned painters inspired by their technique and motifs as well as photographs that share that ¿aura¿ that contains the sublime. Through this series of paintings it will be tried to verify and verify the functionality of the characteristics of this term, reaffirming it. After reading these texts we will obtain an ending open to the reader¿s judgment so that he can reach his conclusions.
