Cuenca en el tintero

Abstract

[ES] Me persigue una necesidad natal de plantear una posible herramienta para intentar solucionar algunos problemas de la ciudad que me vio crecer. Tras mi salida y no retorno estable a la ciudad de Cuenca se ha ido colapsando mi curiosidad sobre qué falta en esta bonita ciudad si lo tiene todo. Un querer y no poder, y no es por no poder, sino que creo que se puede.

El objetivo principal en el que se centra la propuesta es intentar integrar elementos que a día de hoy se encuentran separados: la ciudad con su historia, sus habitantes con los hábitos y los visitantes con los potenciales de la ciudad.

Un sitio estratégico en un entorno que lo tiene todo, lo nuevo y lo viejo: una mezcla de lo existente y practicable con lo que existió y no se usa o ni se usó.

Los elementos que ordenan la estrategia tienen que ver con las dos ciudades (el papel), que se conectan a través de unos recorridos (la tinta) donde se experimenta la ciudad y su entorno (el relato); todo ello funciona mediante un engranaje y pieza fundamental, el edificio (la pluma).

Un Edificio...híbrido, articulador, receptor y potenciador de la ciudad, donde se capten todos los flujos de gente, habitantes o visitantes, locales o extranjeros, sin importar nada más que la necesidad de disfrutar de esta ciudad única. Dotado para recoger y nutrir a ese público inquieto por saber qué actividades o lugares puede disfrutar, aprovechar, descubrir y vivir. Equipado para acoger, desarrollar y apoyar cualquier iniciativa cultural, social y de relación (el tintero). Un espacio por y para Cuenca.

[EN] It is chasing me a native and compelling need to create a potential tool to solve some problems of the city that saw me grow up.

After I departed and returned to the city of Cuenca unsteadily, my curiosity of what it was that was missing in this beautiful city which seems to have everything, begin to evaporate. An unfilled desire but it is not a question of not being able to do it but believing that it is possible.

The main objective of this proposal is to try to integrate elements that nowadays are separated: the city into its history, its residents into the habits and the visitors into the strengths of the city.

A strategic place in an environment that has everything, the new and the old: a mix of the existing and practicable with what existed and is not used anymore or was never used before.

The elements that make up the strategy are related to the two cities (the paper) that connect through different paths (the ink) where you can experience the city and its environment (the story); all of that operates through a gear and essential part, the building (the pen).

A hybrid building and articulating building that receives and promotes the city. A building that captures all the flows of people, residents or visitors, locals or foreigners, regardless of anything else but the need to enjoy this unique city. A building fitted to collect and nurture such restless people that want to know which activities or places to enjoy, discover or experience. A building equipped to welcome, develop and support any cultural, social and interaction initiatives (the inkwell). A space by and for Cuenca.
