DISEÑO DE UNA RED DE TRANSPORTE EN AUTOBÚS BAJO DEMANDA EN UNA LOCALIDAD RESIDENCIAL Y DISEÑO CONCEPTUAL DEL APARCAMIENTO EN LA ESTACIÓN

Abstract

[ES] Diseño de la red de transporte bajo demanda y el diseño de la propia estación de autobús requerida. La localidad escogida es Rocafort, ya que es un área residencial donde considero que puede ser muy útil este sistema y además no cuenta con servicio de autobús local.

[EN] The main objective of this project is to analyse a different transport method than that one in every city and evaluate its possible implementation in a known area. Demand Responsive transport is very common in cities in central Europe, but it is a system unknown to many countries. In order to understand how the system works, the existing service in the city of Krakow, TeleBus, has been analysed. The ultimate goal is to assess whether it is viable to implement the service in the chosen town considering external factors. The starting assumptions are that this town’s population is willing to make use of a new transport service adapted to the area in exchange for the traditional transport line that was eliminated due to low use. The implementation of the service in this town involves the remodelling of the metro station car park by means of a conceptual design. With this design, the accessibility to the station is considerably improved and makes it a more attractive option for the population. For the conceptual design, the programme used has been AutoCAD with the help of AutoTURN software to simulate vehicle traffic. Comparison of service parameters such as area of operation, area characteristics and population involved are key to assess the viability of the service in the town selected.
