Polisemia. Propuesta de proyecto para una colección de bisutería artesanal.

Abstract

[ES] Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se titula Polisemia, un término que hace referencia a que una misma palabra tenga varios significados, y que recoge el proceso creativo y el resultado de una propuesta artística que da lugar a una serie escultórica de pequeñas dimensiones, formada por piezas cerámicas de joyería (pendientes), en donde cada pieza será única y autónoma, aunque también se pueda entender correlacionada con las demás, ya que todas ellas están inspiradas en algunas de las grandes épocas cerámicas de la historia.

Tras una breve investigación histórica sobre el trabajo cerámico, interesándonos en diferentes estilos y épocas, hemos seleccionado varios obras que nos han inspirado o servido de referentes, y hemos pasado luego por un proceso de investigación, interpretación, transformación y composición, para dar lugar a una nueva colección de joyas con la posibilidad de seguir creando piezas en un futuro.

Debido a la situación vivida por el COVID-19, las piezas, inicialmente concebidas para ser realizadas con materiales cerámicos, han sido creadas finalmente con arcilla polimérica, dada la facilidad para encontrar ese producto en nuestro lugar de residencia, y debido a la semejanza que tiene con los productos cerámicos. Además, dicho producto permite trabajar desde casa sin la necesidad de un taller y da autonomía para poder seguir realizando diferentes joyas o nuevas colecciones.

Para finalizar, se adjunta el libro inicial de bocetos, y un libro de la colección donde se muestra una serie fotografías con todos los diseños creados para la ocasión. Por tanto, se cuenta con un trabajo de diseño de joyas, de diseño de marca, y de fotografía. También se aplica todo el trabajo en las plataformas digitales, y se le da visibilidad a partir de la red social Instagram.

[EN] This Final Degree Project is entitled Polysemy, a term that refers to the fact that the same word has several meanings, and which reflects the creative process and the result of an artistic proposal that gives rise to a small sculptural series, made up of ceramic pieces of jewellery (earrings), in which each piece will be unique and autonomous, although it can also be understood as correlated with the others, as they are all inspired by some of the great ceramic periods in history.

After a brief historical research on ceramic work, taking an interest in different styles and periods, we have selected several works that have inspired us or served as references, and we have then gone through a process of research, interpretation, transformation and composition, to give rise to a new collection of jewellery with the possibility of continuing to create pieces in the future.

Due to the situation experienced by COVID-19, the pieces, initially conceived to be made with ceramic materials, have finally been created with polymer clay, given the ease of finding this product in our place of residence, and due to the similarity it has with ceramic products. Moreover, this product allows us to work from home without the need for a workshop and gives us the autonomy to continue making different pieces of jewellery or new collections.

Finally, the initial sketchbook is enclosed, as well as a book of the collection showing a series of photographs with all the designs created for the occasion. Therefore, there is a work of jewellery design, brand design and photography. All the work is also applied to digital platforms, and visibility is given through the social network Instagram.
