Dietario ilustrado: un viaje como homenaje a la cultura y el paisaje valenciano

Abstract

[VA] "Qui perd els orígens, perd identitat" és un llibre il·lustrat que pretén mostrar la cultura i el paisatge valencià a través d¿un viatge que realitza un llaurador i el seu ase a la serra Mariola a per herbes per a fer herbero. Referenciant l´obra d´Artur Heras "Ribera i Jo", on l´autor que no té condicions d´historiador ni escriptor ens presenta un dietari il·lustrat. Aquest projecte té com a finalitat la investigació i el coneixement de la identitat valenciana mitjançant l´elaboració de pintures plàstiques e il·lustracions digitals. La memòria recull el procés de producció del projecte, així com el desenvolupament de la idea i les ferramentes utilitzades. El viatge del llaurador serveix de context per a explicar el marc social i cultural de la dècada dels cinquanta a Xàtiva, així també evocar l´entorn valencià per mitjà de representacions de serralades, monuments històrics, bancals... Més avant es desenvolupa el projecte en dos apartats: un tracta la contextualització referencial en el que es basa la història, aquesta consisteix en una investigació documental de diferents històries relacionades amb el viatge, artistes classificats dintre del gènere del paisatge i referents identitaris de la mateixa cultura. Per altra part descriu el procés de creació com un treball d´experimentació mitjançant el llenguatge de la il·lustració fins al desenvolupament de la identitat gràfica de l´obra

[EN] "Qui perd els origens, perd identitat" is an illustrated book that aims to show the Valencian culture and landscape through a journey made by a farmer and his donkey to the Mariola mountain range to collect herbs to make herbero. Referring to the work of Artur Heras "Ribera y Yo", where the author, who is neither a historian nor a writer, presents us with an illustrated diary. The aim of this project is the investigation and knowledge of Valencian identity through the elaboration of plastic paintings and digital illustrations. The report covers the production process of the project, as well as the development of the idea and the tools used. The journey of the farmer serves as a context to explain the social and cultural framework of the fifties in Xàtiva, as well as to evoke the Valencian environment through representations of mountain ranges, historical monuments, terraces... Further on, the project is developed in two sections: one deals with the referential contextualisation on which the story is based, consisting of a documentary investigation of different stories related to the journey, artists classified within the landscape genre and identity references of the culture itself. On the other hand, it describes the creation process as a work of experimentation through the language of illustration until the development of the graphic identity of the work.
