[EN] The design of a high-efficiency power supply is essential for the design of envelope-tracking RF power amplifiers. The total efficiency of the system depends on the RF power amplifier but also on the power supply. Therefore, the system must be able to track the envelope of the modulated signal while providing enough current and voltage to the amplifier.
The present work aims the design of an envelope tracker able to work with voltages ranging from 0.6 to 2.8V. The bandwidth of the tracker must be higher than 25 MHz, with a gain of 10 and an output current of 1 A for voltages between 6 to 28 V.
The main tasks of this work are the study of different approaches for implementing the switched-mode power supply, the use of EM simulation tools for characterizing the circuit, as well as the optimization for maximum efficiency. Additional tasks could be the layout of the circuit and the experimental characterization of the designed module.
