dc.description.abstract [EN] This project is based on DNA and its very useful properties as a scaffold for supramolecular systems. For this reason, lots of modified nucleotides can be incorporated into the DNA strand. The porphyrins are one product very often used to attach into the DNA, because of their very interesting physical properties. The Stulz group have developed different synthetic routes to add porphyrin nucleosides: with a shorter acetylene linker, and with a longer amide linker. In this research is used an amide linker, but shorter than used before. We have synthesized a free base tetraphenyl porphyrin with an azide modification, and know more about this product. When it was made, we did the click reaction, with acetylene-modified DNA, to see if the attachment was possible. We have used click chemistry reaction to attach the porphyrin onto the DNA because it has high yields and very high purity es_ES
