Design and implementation of a termperature regulation system for an electric boiler remotely controlled via an android device

Abstract

[EN] In this project, it is developed a system that will let the user elaborate specific kinds of beer with an electric boiler controlled through an Android-based application. The application interface will allow the user to monitor the temperature of the liquid during the brewing process and once the process is over, export temperature data in order to plot it over the time on a graph for further research or mere information purposes. The application will communicate via Bluetooth with an Arduino Mini board integrated in the control PCB as part of the development of this project. The Arduino board will read the temperature and adjust it to the desired value, which will be sent by the Android device by selecting a temperature program, or using the manual setup option. In addition to temperature, time will also be taken into account as it is really important in the brewing process and will be the coordinate’s axis when plotting, shown in real-time on the Android application.
