La relación entre forma y estructura en la arquitectura y en la ingeniería civil.

Abstract

[ES] En las diferentes obras que se han llevado a cabo a lo largo de la historia, un aspecto, entre otros, siempre ha estado presente y se ha enfocado de múltiples maneras: la relación entre forma y estructura. Antoni Gaudí es uno de los arquitectos que ha evolucionado a lo largo de su trayectoria profesional sobre este ámbito, culminando en su trabajo en la Basílica de la Sagrada Familia. Los arcos funiculares, así como el equilibrio de bloques, juegan un papel clave para verticalizar las cargas, pudiendo así superar la concepción estructural del gótico. En esta obra el arquitecto racionaliza las formas por medio de superficies regladas, estrechamente ligadas a su ejecución, estructura, plasticidad, transmisión para su futura construcción y, en definitiva, al disfrute espacial. Este trabajo se interesa por la respuesta formal hacia la estructura, focalizada en el Templo construido por Gaudí.

[EN] In the different works that have been carried out throughout history, one aspect, among others, has always been present and has been approached in multiple ways: the relationship between form and structure. Antoni Gaudí is one of the architects who has evolved throughout his professional career in this area, culminating in his work in the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia. The funicular arches, as well as the balance of blocks, play a key role in verticalizing the loads, thus being able to improve the structural conception of the Gothic. In this work the architect rationalizes the forms by means of ruled surfaces, closely linked to their execution, structure, plasticity, transmission for future construction and, ultimately, to spatial enjoyment. This work is interested in the formal response to the structure, focused on the Temple built by Gaudí.
