Traje de Charra de Salamanca. Estudio para su conservación.

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo final de grado se centra en el estudio de los materiales y técnicas utilizadas, como también del estado de conservación que presenta un conjunto de indumentaria perteneciente a un traje "charro" femenino de Salamanca, con el objetivo final de realizar una propuesta de intervención y de conservación preventiva. Asimismo, uno de los objetivos fundamentales del presente trabajo es profundizar acerca de este tipo de indumentaria tradicional femenina y festiva, haciendo especial hincapié en su ornamentación y complementos, como es el caso de la joyería, poniendo en valor los motivos ornamentales y su simbología. A lo largo de este escrito se establece la noción del concepto charro, hablando del contexto histórico en el que surgen este tipo de trajes, al igual que su participación en los ritos y costumbres de su comarca. Además, se lleva a cabo un estudio sobre la evolución y los cambios sufridos por estas vestimentas tradicionales a lo largo del tiempo, al transferirse en forma de legado de generación en generación. Llegando finalmente a una reflexión acerca de estas variaciones y su repercusión material y cultural. El conjunto textil, formado por: una jubona, dos manteos, un pañuelo de hombros y otro de cabeza, una cintas traseras, la faltriquera, el mandil, una mantilla de rocador, y unos postizos; se estudia con el objetivo de identificar los materiales constitutivos presentes en cada una de las piezas, así como los deterioros que estas poseen, para determinar su estado actual y poder planificar una adecuada propuesta de intervención, encaminando la conservación preventiva no solo en pro de la salvaguarda de las piezas, sino también de la restitución de la funcionalidad para la que fueron confeccionadas.

[EN] This final degree project focuses on the study of the materials and techniques used, as the same time as the state of conservation presented by a set of fabrics belonging to a female "charro" costume from Salamanca, with the final objective of making an intervention proposal and another of preventive conservation. Likewise, one of the fundamental objectives of this work is to delve into this type of traditional feminine and festive clothing, placing special emphasis on its ornamentation and accessories, as is the case of jewellery, highlighting the ornamental motifs and their symbolism. Throughout this writing the notion of the charro concept is established, speaking of the historical context in which these types of costumes arise, accompanied by their participation in the rites and customs of their region. In addition, a study is carried out on the evolution and changes suffered by these traditional clothes over time, as they are transferred in the form of a legacy from generation to generation. Ending into a reflection about these variations and their material and cultural repercussions. The textile ensemble, consisting of: a doublet, two "manteos", a shoulder scarf and a head scarf, a back strap, a pouch, an apron, a "rocador mantilla", and unvaried hairpieces; is studied with the objective of identifying the constituent materials present in each of the pieces, as well as the deterioration they have, to determine their actual state and to be able to plan an adequate intervention proposal, directing the preventive conservation not only in favour of the safeguarding of the pieces, but also the restitution of the functionality for which they were made.
